Use appropriate trowel size (may be 12-18 mm or larger in case of large format tiles) to ensure appropriate coverage.
- Back buttering of tiles with adhesive should be done in smaller tiles when they have a pattern at the back & in all tiles above 300mm
in size. - The adhesive application lines should be straight and parallel to the short side of the tile. This will allow entrapped air to escape
once the tiles are laid. The tile joint filling activity or grouting must be carried out after 24 hours of laying the tiles. The joint material must be at least 2/3rd
deep of the thickness of the tile.Use appropriate tools like Handheld mortar mixer, Notched Trowels, Lines and levels, spacers, levelling clips and wedges etc.
For Large format tiles the Variation in the floor substrate should be less than 3mm per 3000mm when checked with a straight edge.
All tiles / stones are recommended to have joints width of 2 to 3 mm.
Dry walls should be screwed to the frame at a distance of 300mm horizontally & vertically
Any new concrete should be properly damped and left for at least 28 days before applying the adhesive. This minimises shrinkage
on the application surface.Do not use the shower for 2 weeks or fill the swimming pool for 3 weeks after grouting is complete
